PISTES

With 220km (137miles) of pistes and extensive off-piste itineraries, Les Deux Alpes has something to offer everyone, from beginners to experts.
The village lies at 1650m (5,410ft) and this long and tall resort rises to almost 2000m (6,560ft) being served by 51 lifts in total.

The sunny nursery slopes down in the village are on a gentle gradient and are spacious, creating an ideal environment for beginners.
The glacier also offers extensive easy slopes offering an easy progression from the nursery slopes up onto the moutain.

These slopes, perfect for beginners and the less adventurous, offer stunning views and are served by drag lifts and an underground funiculaire.
The glacier is a snow-sure area in winter and is also used for summer skiing. Above 2200m (7,220ft) most of the runs are north facing, and the glacier section guarantees good snow even during a bad winter.

Following on from this is Les Cretes, a ridge situated above the village at 2100m, which has several lifts serving gentle runs.
Behind this is the Combe de Thuit, a deep and steep ski area which is served by several lifts which take you up to the mid-station, La Toura, which lies at 2600m (8,530).
This middle section of the mountain (above and below La Toura) mainly consists of blue cruising runs but there are also several challenging red runs and a black run that takes you down to the picturesque scenery of La Fee.

A real highlight in Les Deux Alpes is the renowned heavyweight terrain-park located at La Toura in the winter (this then moves up to the glacier for the summer).
Easily one of the best in Europe, this park offers something for everyone including beginners with a range of kickers, hips, rails and boxes of all sizes. The park is 800m (2,60ft) long and boasts an impeccable super-pipe amd the big gap jump.
