The European Ski & Snowboard School is an independent ski school based in the heart of Les Deux Alpes. Relatively new, its name has become synonymous with a quality product aimed to meet and exceed the expectations of its customers. With a carefully selected team of national ski instructors from Italy, France, Britain and Austria, we aim to provide a fun and effective way to improve your skiing. All our non British instructors speak great English and the team as a whole is comprised of experts passionate about skiing. We are proud of our European, multi cultural organisation and we believe it gives us triple the resources in terms of providing you with a great skiing or boarding experience.

Courses and Structure – Winter 2008/9 (Sunday start)

Ski Course: Level 0 (Beginners with less than 5 hours experience on dry slope)
Courses for adults and children (over 6 years), max 8/9 clients.
Sunday start 11.00 am finish at 13.45. (All other days 9.30Am /12.30Am)
High season, PM session 14.00/ 16.45)

6 days PUBLIC PRICE 165.00Euro
SKI Course: Levels 1 to 6 ( Ratings below).
Adults or children over 6 years, 5 days (Excluding Wednesday), Wednesdays are left free so clients can take advantage of the day trips organised with a free lift pass to neighbouring resorts.
Sunday start 11am finish at 13.45, all other days 10.00-12.45.
(High season, PM session,14.00 / 16.45)

Course notes:
All lessons are in English.
On the first morning, all group lessons meet on the snow at the children’s snow garden.
On the second day, all groups (except level 0) meet at 2,100m to avoid queuing for the main lifts during lesson times.
All adult groups will benefit from video analysis (weather permitting)
All clients will receive log book /progress reports (The log book is designed to be filled in each year as clients return to continue through levels.)
All children will receive a free certificate and medal.( There is no technical test at the end of the week)

ImportantNotes:
1. During high season, group lesson times may be moved forward one hour (11.00-13.45) to ensure maximum skiing time, avoiding too much queuing.
2. Non pre-paid ski school may be held in pm sessions.
3. In very low season, groups of less than 5 per level will be given a two hour session with lift queue priority rather than a 2 ¾ hour session.
4. We strongly advise people to seek professional advice when choosing between group or private lessons. Ask the question –
• Do you feel you would be happy in a group situation, or would you prefer individual attention?
• Fitness, age, confidence levels should always be considered before choosing a group lesson, remember the instructor will have his attention divide by at least seven other students. We also recommend private tuition to any one at level 0, over the age of 50 who does not exercise on a regular basis.
ALL children are advised to wear helmets during lessons.
Lessons are not refundable in any circumstances once they have been booked and paid for.

Sunday to Friday (All season)

Max 4 / group with lift queue priority, 6 day course, 2 hours /day.
Courses. 9.15 AM /11:15 AM 11.30./AM13.30 PM. 14.00 PM/16.00PM.
Times and Places will be sold according to availability.
Course includes two video analysis sessions plus end of week progress report.
We will do our best to co ordinate families with lessons at the same time, but this can not always be guaranteed.
Public price 230 Euros/ person

Children’s Learn To Ski Garden (4 & 5 Years Of Age)
Ratio: 1 instructor/ 8 children
A safe, fun and enclosed garden for your child’s first taste of sliding on the snow, also equipped with toilet and heated indoor facilities for rest stops. Our objective will be to have children out of the garden on the small drag lifts by the end of the week.
MORNINGS: Sunday start 11.am finish 13.45 pm.( Following days 9.30.Am/12.30Am.)

Snowboard Courses:
Adults and children over 10 years. The European Ski & Snowboard School specialises in courses for all levels, from your first turns to advanced courses making the most of the world famous Les Deux Alpes Snow Park and the amazing free-ride. All snowboard sessions are held PM, this is to take advantage of the softer snow conditions ideal for beginners, and experts heading to the snowpark. Every effort will be made to hold level 0 courses only on the first day in an AM session.
Snowboard lessons for children under 10, should be booked in the resort on an individual basis.
Courses (All pm sessions), Levels 0, 1, 2, 3
Max 4 Per Group with lift queue priority 3 or 6 days – 2 hrs/day.
Note: Only level 0 can be booked for 6 days
Levels 0,1 ,2 and 3 – 3 Day course starting Sunday through to Tuesday

Use the following to help you choose your level in which to start a course.

Ski Levels
0 Never skied, have skied on a dry slope for less than 5 hours.
1 Have skied for approx. 1 week, can link snow plough turns and have used lifts, can ski green runs.
2 Wobbly shaky parallels on green/ blue runs (Approx.2 weeks experience)
3 Skiing parallel on green/blue runs but come unstuck on red or narrow runs
4 Linked parallels including red runs, skiing with confidence and control, attempting steep slopes (approx 4/8 weeks experience.
5 Confident carved turns on red runs. Black runs not a problem.
6 Excellent skier, confident off piste, steeps, moguls, attempting racing techniques and instructor training

Snowboard Levels
0 Never seen a snowboard before, (first time)
1 One weeks experience (Linking wobbly front and backside turns)
2 2 or 3 weeks experience(Attempting first tricks and jumps)
3 Experienced rider (Perfecting skills in the snowpark...)
